The Olympics have begun at Dodgen Middle School! This annual event opened with a school-wide assembly featuring Para-Olympic champion and gold medalist Curtis Lovejoy as guest speaker on Thursday afternoon. Sixth grade students enjoyed their track and field activities on Monday. Seventh grade took to the fields today. Eighth graders will compete tomorrow. Sportsmanship and academic success are emphasized throughout the week. All teachers and staff are involved. Ms. Spatch and Coach Wilkes have fine tuned the process over the years. Their newest PE team member, Ms. White, has done a fine job of joining right in there this year. All three are pictured above with Olympian Lovejoy. I plan to post an album of photos of many of the activities by this week end.
