Wow, just a few more days until CRCT's begin.  What a great week that will  be.

Some of you have asked if there is any way to raise your grade.  The answer is yes, but first you must promise to read To Kill a Mockingbird and to study for the next grammar test.  Our next grammar test will include clauses (noun, adverb, adjective) types of sentences (simple, compound, complex, and compound-complex)

Don't forget:  You need a copy of To Kill a Mockingbird in class on Friday.

On to the week:

Tuesday-Wednesday   We are working in groups.  There are four groups.  We will watch a video about types of sentences, work on poetry vocabulary, work on reading comprehension by answering an SRA, and there is a question and answer session with myself or one of the other teachers.

Thursday:  We are going to finish any  incomplete group work and with types of sentences, clauses and phrases.

Friday:  We will review clauses and have a quiz over them.

Now back to how you can raise your grade:  You may take up to 4 different quizzes on the USA Testprep site to have added to your grade.  THIS is not mandatory.  It is just an opportunity to help sagging grades.  I would like for you to take 2 Information and Literacy- 20 question section quizzes and 2 literary comprehension- 20 question section quizzes.  YOU MUST HAVE THEM COMPLETE BY MONDAY, APRIL 20, 2009.
