Wednesday- Listen to three Greek myths. Discuss the lessons they teach and explanations of natural occurrences.
Thursday-Watch video streaming on various myths. Fill in crossword puzzle on Greek gods.

This week will be devoted to CRCT preparation. There will be a test on all the vocabulary terms on Friday. The more familiar you are with the terminology, the better you will do on the test.

FRI. RENAISSANCE DAY! Give brief speech to your group as your Renaissance figure.
Renaissance Day is Coming! March 13th will be our Renaissance celebration. In addition to presenting your papers, you should come to school dressed as the person you researched. NOTE: This should not be a purchased costume! Instead shop at home…large shirts, belts, rolled up pants or slacks, long socks, and tights are all options. Since all involved in this time period dressed conservatively, dress code should not be an issue. Pictures from past years will be shown in class to give you an idea of how to put together the perfect outfit. Questions? Contact me!
Dates to remind you of what is due and when
The Renaissance Project Important Information/Dates Feb 25-Feb 27 Students will receive a minimum of three class periods to gather information and record on note and source cards. Remember if you are researching at home, you will need to get the citation for each source used. Most sites in the Cobb Virtual Library will cite the source for you. Mar 3 Test on research process, Mar 6 All source cards (4-5) and note cards (15-20) will be completed and Brought to class on March 9th to begin draft of research paper Mar 9-10 Work on draft of research paper following guidelines in packet, complete poster for famous figure Mar 10-12 Final research paper is typed with bibliography Mar 11 Poster of famous figure is turned in following guidelines in packet Mar 13 RENAISSANCE DAY! -Turn in research paper and bibliography -Dress as your Renaissance figure -*Bring Renaissance food for your group *This is optional

· Begin writing rough draft using parenthetical documentation
Make sure you submit your paper to plagiarismdetect.com. You will need to make any changes to your final paper to keep the plagiarism percentage under 25%. If your paper goes over this amount, you will get it back and have to redo it. I suggest submitting parts so any rewrites won’t be so overwhelming. You will do this as you begin to write your final draft.
