I had a GREAT group in the study session this morning! Students took the Final Exam Part I today. Wednesday will be Part II. ALL MAKE UP WORK IS DUE ON WEDNESDAY. My grades need to be finalize by Thursday at 11:00.

Words can not express how proud I am of my math students for the amazing job they did on the Math CRCT. They worked so hard and I believe it was worth it. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Thursday, May 14th
We continued working with the Culminating Performance Task "Route 66". Students will have a "quizlet" tomorrow on Linear and Quadratic Functions. There will be a short study session at 8:30 a.m. if needed.
HW: Front only of Worksheet From Linear to Quadratic
Our Final Exam will be next Tuesday and Wednesday. A study guide will be sent home tomorrow and we will review on Monday. Study session on Tuesday morning at 8:15

Wednesday, May 13th
Today we worked with Quadratic Functions and compared them to Linear Functions. Students continued to work with their partner on the Culminating Task: Route 66
HW: Complete WS front/back of Quadratic Functions. PLEASE have your progress report signed by tomorrow. There is a special study session tomorrow to focus on multi-step equations.
Our final exam is Tuesday, May 19th and Wednesday, May 20th. If you are absent one or both of those days, PLEASE come in Thursday morning at 8:15 to make up the exam.

Tuesday, May 12th
Students turned in their Cell Phone projects today. WOW! I am SO IMPRESSED with the quality of their work. It will count as a quiz grade. Students continued to work on our "Route 66" Culminating Performance Task. Students are asked to THINK and try to complete the entire task without my help. Some students (and me) are struggling with that! :) PLEASE THINK!
HW: Please get your latest progress report signed. WS: Function tables and graphing
Thursday, May 14th is a study session on multi-step equations.

Monday, May 11th
Today students turned in their Equations class work/homework packet. All students received a current progress report with a note attached. THIS MUST BE SIGNED AND RETURNED BY TOMORROW! Students requested their current test average due to the Math I support class recommendation. That is written on the progress report. Students began the Math 8 Culminating Performance Task "Route 66". They will work with a partner and complete it in class this week.
HW: The Cell Phone project is due TOMORROW!!!! Download Cell Phone Task 2 This counts as a quiz grade.
If you did not take the Equations test on Thursday, PLEASE come in tommorrow morning at 8:15 to make it up. If you scored below 80% on the Equations test, please come in Thursday morning at 8:15 for a help session.

Thursday, May 7th
Today the students took the Equations test and the scores were OUTSTANDING!!!!!! I am so pleased to know they are headed to high school mastering multi-step equations!
HW: Continue working on the cell phone project. It is due Tuesday and will count as a quiz grade.
Orchestra students: Have a wonderful time and tell Mickey I said hello!

WOW!!!! You all were AMAZING during the Olympics. You showed great talent and school spirit!!!!
Your class work today was to complete the Enrichment 39: Thinking Skills as a warmup, 3-7 Reteaching WS (ODDS only); and Chapter 3 Solving for an Unknown (ALL problems). If you did not finish in class, IT IS FOR HOMEWORK!
HW: STUDY for your Equations test on Thursday, May 7th. I will have a study session at 8:15 a.m. Download Study Session and will allow 5-10 minutes at the beginning of class for last minute questions. I have attached the study guide as well as the answers. Download REVIEW Equations BE PREPARED!!!

We DID NOT have our Olympics today. To say the least, the students were VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!!
