The final exam has been cancelled. In it's place you are required to complete an integers project - due Wednesday. You are to create a song, rap, skit, children's book, power point, movie, etc. of the rules for integers. You will be given time in class tomorrow to complete this assignment.

Welcome back to a normal week!! :) Last week was very eventful. This week will be more routine. Today we continued our reivew of systems of equations. We solved problems using the elimination method and we introduced to problems that required us to change the coefficients in both equation. Students took notes and were given several examples to try.
HOMEWORK: Complete the "Choose a Method" worksheet. Complete the top two rows only (we'll do the bottom row tomorrow in class. I would recommend using the elimination method to solve each of these problems.
TEST: Friday over systems of equations and inequalties
We had a great day yesterday at our Olympic day! Yea Greece! Today we got back to work on systems of equations. We added coefficients to the mix today.
HOMEWORK: 4th period: Complete the "Changing the Coefficients" worksheet , 5th period: Complete the "Larger Coefficient" worksheet, and 7th period complete problems #2 and #3 on the front of "Changing Coefficient" worksheet.
TEST: Friday, May 15
Students completed their quiz from Friday. We then learned how to solve systems of equations by using the elimination method. Students completed a worksheet in class.
OLYMPIC FIELD DAY has been postponed until tomorrow due to rain. I will see you in class on Wednesday.
HOMEWORK: Complete the worksheet on the Elimination Method if you did not finish it in class. Complete the "Mixed practice" for extra credit.
Students completed a partner activity to review solving systems of equations by using the substitution method. There will be a quiz over this material tomorrow.

Today students checked homework and continued to practice solving systems of equations by using the substitution method. We completed several practice problems and then started our homework assignment.
HOMEWORK: complete #7-12 on the pink worksheet (5th period is to complete #1-6 because no one did that for homework last night :(

Today students resumed their study of unit 7. We solved systems of equations by the substitution method. Students worked several example problems and were given a graphic organizer.
HOMEWORK: Complete the EVEN numbered problems on the "solving systems of equations by substitution" worksheet.
