Monday Review Chapters 1-5
Students will have questions and ans. based on information that may be on the CRCT from the 1st five chapters in the "yellow" book and Ga. History Book
Tuesday - Mini quiz/ Review Chapters 6-11 - CRCT questions and ans.
Homework - worksheet/ questions and ans. from Chapters 1 thru Chapter 11
Wednesday - quiz on information from previous night's homework
Homework - Make corrections
Thursday - review Chapters 12-19 Questions and Ans. Work sheets and Bingo
Friday - review Chapters 20-25 Work sheets/ Team Games - to enhance knowledge of the chapters
Homework - 50 questions on Chapters 1- 25 - 2 questions per chapter (take home test grade)
Monday - Students will continue working on Chapter 9 Guided Reading
Homework - Study Section #1 & 2 Guided Reading for Quiz
Tuesday - Quiz
Homework - Continue completing Section 3 & 4 - Guided Reading
Wednesday - Reading Yellow Georgia Book Chapter 17 - coincides with Ga. Book
Thursday - work on Open Book test on Chapter 9 - Students will use all notes (including reg. Ga. History book and "yellow" Ga. book) and Guided Reading to help ans. question on the test
Homework - Students can work on the open book test
Friday - Hand in test at the end of the period

Daily Warm-ups will consist of CRCT practice through Crosswords and Word Searches on information which will be on the CRCT in Information and Media literacy.
Homework - Each night will consist of a worksheet - giving students more practice
Quiz on Wednesday and Test on Friday based on work presented during the week/ Information and practice can be found on www.usatestprep.com
Monday - Students will look up and discuss examples based on the glossary that was given to them on Friday. Resources - Reader's Handbook, the Internet, and teacher's notes.
Tuesday - Benchmark practice sheets.
Wednesday - quiz.
Thursday - review quiz and introduce practice on the computer (flash cards/usa testprep) on the areas that the students lacked proficiency.
Friday - Test
Students will be given homework over the break to help them in their areas of weakness.

Students begin project presentations. Each student selects one area of the project to present to the class
Class Time: Due to parent-teacher conferences, class periods will be shortened this week
Focus Question: How do we read and interpret information about a different time in history? How do we connect what we read to our lives?
NOTE: Students will work on warm ups 5-7 minutes daily. Warm-ups are reviewed and corrected when complete.
MONDAY: Quiz on Vocabulary words. All words will be taken from students' vocabulary notebooks.

Organize list of suggestions into categories (entertainment, transportation & sports)
Discuss difficulties different cultures have and difficulties people have understanding lives of people from different countries.
WEDNESDAY:Travel the World magazine, "When in Rome" pgs. 44-49
Preview story and vocabulary (accommodate, lavish, aqueduct, gradient, spectacle)Begin reading selection. Studentsread one section at a time and list as many details as they can recall without referring back to text. Discuss details before moving on to next section.
THURSDAY: Finish reading selection. Complete Open Compare/Contrast to analyze life in ancient Rome and today.
Summarizing - Thought question: Do people today have more or less in common with the people of ancient Romans?
Using index cards, students create multiple choice questions about the selection.
Students must answer own questions on back and be prepared to support answers using the text.

FRIDAY: Silent Reading. Work on Literature Logs
