Please check the Dodgen Orchestra Website for weekly orchestra updates.  There is a 6th grade page, 7th grade page and 8th grade page as well as additional pages for Chamber Orchestra and the 8th Grade Disney Trip.  We will be adding pages for Viola Choir, Cello Choir, Bass Ensemble and Violin "Wire Choir" within the next two weeks.

Welcome Back to the 2012-2013 School Year!!

Welcome Back to School!!  We hope everyone has had a wonderful summer vacation.  We are looking forward to an exciting year in orchestra for all 3 grade levels. 

Here are a few reminders: 

1.  Violin and Viola players will need their instruments in class on TUESDAY, AUGUST 14. 

2.  Violin and Viola players MUST HAVE A COMBINATION LOCK FOR THEIR INSTRUMENT LOCKER.  We will not be responsible for any lost or stolen instruments if the student does not have a combination lock.  Locks should be locked all day long even during the class period. 

3.  Violin and Viola players should LABEL THEIR SHOULDER RESTS.  

4.  Cello and Bass players will given a Cobb County Instrument Use form in order to use school instruments.  Those forms must be returned by FRIDAY, AUGUST 17. 

Last day for instruments is MONDAY, MAY 21

The last day that students will need their instruments is MONDAY, MAY 21. 

All violin and viola lockers must be cleaned out by TUESDAY, MAY 22

All violin and viola lockers MUST be cleaned out by TUESDAY, MAY 22.  All locks should be removed as well.  Anything left in lockers after May 22 will be removed and placed in lost and found. 

FINAL JOURNAL CHECK FOR THIS GRADING PERIOD

The Final Journal Check for all grade levels will be THURSDAY, MAY 18.  Students should have their journals in class everyday.  No late journals will be accepted.
