We will be continuing our study of persuasion this week with a focus on planning for our persuasive essays. You have already received some of the notes on persuasion and writing a persuasive essay, and you will be provided notes and outlines to guide you with the format and requirements for the essay. MON. Persuasive Powerpoint Presentations HW: none
TUE. Persuasive Powerpoint Presentations HW: print your three articles that provide facts to support your topic. It is best to copy all three articles WITH CITATIONS and paste them into a Word Document. If you use Cobb Virtual Library, the sources are cited for you at the bottom of the page. If you do not use Cobb Virtual Library, paste the URL (web address) into www.bibme.org to complete your citation.
WED. Begin drafting of introduction for persuasive essay. You will need to complete your hook, transition sentences, and thesis statement by Thursday. HW: complete draft for introduction of persuasive essay if necessary
THU. Write draft for your four body paragraphs. This includes your three supporting arguments and opposing stance paragraph. HW: complete draft of body portion of your essay if necessary.
FRI. Write draft of conclusion for persuasive essay. Check to ensure that you have included at least three facts, quotes, statistics, etc from at least three sources. HW: complete draft of conclusion if necessary.
