May 7-11 Language Arts Assignments

        This week we transition from Greek mythology to our final unit of the year!  This will be a poetry unit comprised of poems from around the world.  We will have five class periods to draft our poems and three periods in the computer lab to publish them.  You must keep up with the poems written each day.  If you do not complete the assigned poems in class each day, please complete them at home.  Our poetry packet entitled "The World of Poetry" is listed below along with the World of Poetry Resource Center which can answer most of your questions.  Here is our schedule:

       We are coming to the end of the Greek mythology unit this week.  We will have a quiz covering the basics of Greek mythology and the myths we've read in class. The majority of these myths will be in our literature book, but a few can be found at the website listed below.  There are also two more websites with great information on Greek mythology listed below.  Also, don't forget to wear your Olympic shirt on Monday as we will be going to Walton for Field Day.  Here is the tentative schedule for the week:

        This week we will conclude a mini-unit on a variety of types expository writing.  The projects involved creating a business and the business plans will be presented on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Following this, we will begin to prepare for the Language Arts portion of the CRCT.  Here are the tentative plans for the week:
