Nov. 28- Dec. 2 Language Arts Assignments

       We completed our persuasive essays and have concluded our study of persuasion and persuasive writing as of last week. We will be reviewing a few items this week including plot analysis and we will also take a quick look at science fiction.  Both stories that we will be reading end with a twist that involves elements of science fiction.  Here's our schedule for the week:

Nov. 14-18 Language Arts Assignment

        This week ends our sentence unit.  Please review the presentation below along with your study guide.  Our test will be on Wednesday and will require that you completely review your study guide.  We will end the week with a Thanksgiving print advertisement.  This week we will also be having the preliminary round of the Dodgen Spelling Bee.  It is not an assessment that will be entered on Pinnacle.  Here is our tentative schedule for the week:

Nov. 7-11 Language Arts Assignments

        This week will conclude our study of persuasion and persuasive writing.  Please be sure you have all of the following items for your persuasive essay stapled together prior to Wednesday's due date (from top to bottow) Rubric, Final Typed Essay, Bibliography, Draft, Peer Editing Sheet.  As of Wednesday, we will be taking a break from writing and focus on grammar terms such as phrases, clauses, and sentence functions.  The presentation below covers the necessary material.  Here is our tentative plan for the week:
