We are just ten days away from finishing another school year! Our focus over the final two weeks will be poetry. For those of you who cringe when you hear this word, don’t fret. It will be fun and interesting. You may even learn some things about your peers that you never knew before! The title of our poetry unit is “The World of Poetry” and it takes us around the world to experience various forms of poetry. The resources below are crucial to your success with this project. If you take advantage of your time in class, you should not have any more homework this year. Here’s our schedule and important dates:

MON. Poetry introduction and quick poetry activity
TUE. Receive your “World of Poetry” packet. This will be used to record all information and write drafts of poetry.
WED. Work on drafts in poetry packet
THU. Last day to work on drafts in poetry packet. HW: complete all remaining draft requirements in packet if necessary.
FRI. Begin to publish poems in the computer lab
