Dec. 15-19 Language Arts

      We've made it to the end of another nine weeks.  Please be sure to check your grades on i-Parent and make sure there aren't any missing assignments or assignments that need to be made-up.  We will continue with our extensive look at pronouns this week.  Please take advantage of your noun and pronoun notes, the noun and pronoun presentation below, and your study guide when preparing for your test on Thursday.  Here are some helpful resources and our schedule for this week.

Dec. 15-19 Reading Assignments

       It is our final week in reading for this nine weeks!  We will be completing The Hobbit and having our culminating test on the novel.  It is not something that you can study for, but rather, just ensure that you have read all of the chapters in the book.  Also, we will be taking the final total for Books Batted In on Wednesday.  Please be sure to have a parent or teacher signature before adding any books.  Here's our schedule:

MON       Read Chapter 18 and 19 in The Hobbit.  Review novel and any questions related to novel.  There will be no Journal entries to complete. 

TUE.      Test on The Hobbit

WED.     The Hobbit movie!

THU.     We will perform one of the plays from The Seven Plays of Mystery & Suspense

FRI.       SMART FAIR!!!

Dec. 8-12 Language Arts

         This week is a continuation of our noun/pronoun study.  We will focus on strictly pronouns for most of the week.  To ensure success, students must complete all assignmed homework, so we can go over questions on the following days.  The culminating assignment is a Noun/Pronoun test next Thursday, December 18th.  A study guide covering both nouns and pronouns will be provided.  Material on the test will come from both the noun and pronoun notes given in class.  The following presentation covers the majority of the pronoun notes and has opportunity for review:

Dec. 8-12 Reading Assignments

        This week we will be completing the last of this nine week's vocabulary lessons with Monday's test over Lesson #8.  We will also be nearing the end of our journey with Bilbo in The Hobbit.  Please be sure to update your Books Batted In by next Wednesday.  We will be adding The Hobbit (306 pages) to our total books read this nine weeks.  Here's this week's plan:
